This year’s AHS National Conference is taking place in California! Join harpists from around the country at the University of Redlands. San Jose Youth Symphony Harp Ensemble, directed by local harpist Kristal Barlaan, and Silicon Valley Youth Harp Ensemble, directed by local harpist Sonya Yu, are both performing. The concert will feature works by Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Debussy, Piazzola, and for the first time in the USA – pieces by Serbian women composers. Two of the pieces that will be performed have been written specifically for this concert and will be performed for the first time in the world!
